Wyndham Litter Warriors

Wyndham Litter Warriors carries out litter clean-up events across all four corners of Wyndham City Council.  It works closely with Council staff to identify areas of concern and take appropriate action.  Working through a network of Local Litter Leaders, it can react to problem areas in an estate or suburb by promoting and supporting a community clean-up day. It is well equipped with enough tools and equipment to cope with teams of up to 120 volunteers.  The activities are fully insured, and community members are encouraged to involve whole families.

The team is also available to support community, school or industry groups who wish to be involved in one-off litter events.  If this sounds appealing to you, email litter@naturewest.au to start a conversation about choosing a spot, a time and date.

The Werribee River Association began in 1981, led by a group of vocal community members who were concerned about the degradation of the Werribee River. We have now grown into a small team of professionals, supported by hundreds of members and volunteers, and dozens of partners and stakeholders.

We work with the land and water managers, and the local community, to help build the biodiversity of the waterway ecosystem, and to support the iconic platypus. We also invest in programs that build community connection and strength as we believe that healthy communities and healthy waterways go hand in hand.
